There's no GTV, but there is quadv, with live streaming and shoutcasting. I've just registered in order to watch live streams. fox is currently beating someone called EG clampOK 9-0. no idea what round this is. 5 minutes left of the match.

Doom2 coming to XBLA.
Finally. They ported Doom1 a while back and was - according to id - a surprise hit.

it will feature "a brand new episode". probably maps from Final Doom, i doubt they have been mapping for Doom2 again.

all this thing needs is a levelselect, cos that was seriously lacking in Doom1 XBLA.

Ah, I saw that trailer today at another site and it didn't have any date when posted so I thought it was an older one I hadn't seen.
I wonder if tomorrow's demo at qcon will be the same. Perhaps the same with more footage.

Quake live duel final Cypher v Rapha later, should start anytime between 12am to 3am GMT.

Update: Rapha just beat cypher in the winners bracket. Rapha now plays the winner of the losers bracket, cypher v spartie in the grand final on the main stage in about 3 hours or so. Seems odd to me though, I mean surely the match played just now should have been the grand final since rapha and cypher were the top 2 remaining in the winners bracket.

Why is it odd? Its an elimination tournament. I agree cypher is a topper but rapha did shine on lost world. Spartie is a beast as well, he made a clutch last second play and got away with the game.

I will be watching that final at 24.00 GMT if i am correct.

Well if I can equate it to say, tennis, when nadal and federer end up in the final eliminating all the other seeds at wimbledon, one of them doesn't go on to play the winner of a losers bracket do they.
But anyway, they call this double elimination, so at least we get to see more games.
