I was just thinking of how I once tasted sheep brain on a trip to Turkey, jummy. Tastes like... white chicken.

It is quite interesting, the only one I knew was dangerous was the puffer fish; surprising to know that apricot seeds have cyanide, I ate a few.

I think apple seeds have cyanide too. Also taro root skins are very high in cyanide.

I've had snake (tastes like very tender chicken). While visiting China last year, the strangest thing I ate was strangely enough from a KFC. It was a skewer of chicken breast and chicken breast cartilage (didn't exactly sell very well even among the locals). Also taro root pie at McDonalds (surprisingly good). I've also had donkey which tastes like really greasy beef. I wouldn't say any of these are particularly gross (like sheep brains) but they were certainly "odd". If you think about it, sausages are particularly gross.

Oh, that reminds me. I was this -->.- close to eating Bull testicles, I can't remember what country but it's a delicacy there.

'Waterkonijn', which is what the Flemish call a muskrat when they put it on the dinner table. It's supposed to taste a little like rabbit but I thought it tasted more like beef. Could've been the sauce, though.
