Too much colour?

Do you think my choice of different fan brands and colours is OTT, sort of cooling on hallucogenics? Several people have said so. I really like it but then again, maybe I have shocking taste. Perhaps I could have gone for less colours and a simpler theme? What is your opinion? I mean it doesn't matter what the colours are as far as performance obviously, but does it look like the fan monster has puked up in my pc? :paranoid:

Might be cool with some acid. But yeah, looks like a Pink Floyd laser show. :)

I personally never understood why grown men like to have rainbow lights in their pc. I had one colored fan when i was 16, and even back then i hated it since it would illuminate my entire room as i was trying to download W4r3z and sleep simultaneously.
This thing could probably be seen from the moon. But i hope its a nice setup for you drum. play some quake now

When I put the pc together, LED fans weren't even something I'd thought about, but as time went on and I started looking at other peoples setups, the idea kind of appealed to me as a bit of fun. I've never ever had or been interested in coloured fans.. till now. I erm.. think I overdid it though :toothy:
Apparently led fans are a bit last year.

If you're happy with it, don't worry about what anyone else thinks.

Do you have a solid side panel or is it windowed? I could go either way on lighting. I think your case looks pretty well organized. You just have a lot of shit in it! lol

DRuM, are you sure your memory modules are in the right DIMM slots? It looks like you have 2 sticks occupying the first 2 slots. On most motherboards, dual channel is staggered in slots either 1 and 3 or 2 and 4.

Yep, it is a bit of a beast and it gets the job done nice and fast and cool. All I've actually got in there (apart from fans lol) is the new cpu cooler and the new VGA cooler. To give you an idea, the TRUE cpu cooler has dropped temps by over 10c. Also, with stock cooler on the GFX card, I was getting 52c idle and 85c with furmark. Now I'm getting 33c idle and 45c load with furmark, and that was by swapping the enermax today with that ac ryan on the floor. The ac ryan is much higher cfm, should have put it on the cooler in the first place

bitwise, I don't have a window on this case, and now with all these fans, I wish there was one :p There is one available for my case, but meh, can't be arsed, and the window is not that big on it.

obsidian, yep, you're right, normally it's every other slot, but my mobo has a side by side configuration for dimm slots. And my TRUE is sitting on top of the first dimm stick, but with no problem, no pressure on it.

The mem slots on my mother board are like that too. Side by side.

It'd be better if the case didn't look like an office filing cabinet.

Lol, I totally agree, it does look like that. Sterile looking and horrible tbh.

It's not so much the amount of colour, but that the colours clash. That fan in the first pic looks, jiust wrong.

You contrast that to the project AmIdYfReAk linked to; that had a distinct colour scheme.

Yea, I think it's the green fan that is the main culprit that spoils everything. I've just ordered 2 more ac ryan fans, another blue identical to roof fan, and a blue/orange. I think that'll even things out and I'll remove the green fan. Oh, I ordered those along with windows 7 :)

glad someone got it.

the craftsmanship on that case is insane, but he stuck with a Black, Silver ( aluminum ), and white theme... and tossed in a Very light Blue illumination for accent.
