This site may not be that well known around here, but there have been posts regarding game movies in this forum in the past.

In short, this site will not go down.
Sean and the admins have found a way to save http://www.own-age.com/.

Sean has found a host and will slim down the code for better stability. Funding has been taken care of: at the moment, at least another two years of up-time is guaranteed.

Looks like the website won't be closing for good after all. I will be spending the next couple days getting this site back in order. Please be patient as I get this site up and running on the new host.

Thanks for all for the support the past 2 weeks.

A lot of data still has to be transferred to the new host, so most links don't work yet, but pretty soon the site will be back in full running order.
This site will remain a "portal" to centralise movie links, the forum will be intact, and all the movie tutorials will still be there.

Thanks to ^misantropia^ and DooMer, and the whole admin team here for lending a listening ear :D
I hope I haven't wasted too much of your time

After a few years of hosting, the site decided to not host movies anymore (this was a few years ago).
There are plenty of good sites to host a massive movie.

own-age.com is all about being a portal to these links, centralising them. After people discarded the 20MB/min "rule" it got a bit out of hand, not to mention the sheer overflow of CS movies which crippled bandwidth from then on.
We had the choice between not allowing CS movies, or asking people to host the movie for themselves. We chose the latter.

Personally I hate any youtube links on the site. The site has always been about quality game movies, and most major movies are HD quality (720p/1080p) nowadays, but they need to be hosted. Even though youtube quality has improved, they don't achieve this quality.

Didn't realize the site was down. Haven't been there in a good year I bet.
