Gave him to a greyhound rescue place because he had a lot of behavior issues. Eventually his hatred of males progressed to the point where he was biting my friends (that was the final straw). He was incapable of shitting outside so every day after work I got to give him a shower and scrape the shit out of his crate. He couldn't be left alone for more than 30 seconds before he literally went fucking berserk (I've never heard dogs make noises like he did. It sounded like he was being beaten to death while a woman next to him was being raped). Because of the last issue he had to sleep in bed with me but due to the second issue there were two times I woke up to the sensation of a dog literally pissing all over me.
Ugh...such a massive waste of money. Definitely won't be buying purebred from a breeder who isn't local ever again.

Cats are more comparable to leeches than dogs? I would reverse that.

stick with that next time your house is on fire, someone is trying to break in, etc.
Those threatening, agressive meows will only ever mean "feed me, my human slave" and nothing else.
buhahahahahah.
You're a fucking idiot.

I enjoy both cats and dogs. I have cats because I can leave them alone for days at a time. I'd love to have a dog too, but I don't want the responsibility of having to make plans around it.

them companions enjoy your company at least as much, you do know that right?
even in the wild interspecies domestication occurs, like tribes of monkeys having wolves as their guards.
[edit] talking about canines and felines here. not iguanas and the like

The domestication has already been done. You can't argue whether its philosophically correct because it doesn't matter, we've done it. Cats and dogs are species of our creation and dependent on us. If everyone felt like you it'd lead to the extinction of (nearly) all dog species.
Sure, don't try to domesticate a deer for your pet, but what's done is done. Dogs are human companions, that's their purpose.
Selfish is an incredibly ignorant word to use to describe the relationship. It's mutually benefiting, whether the animal is a work animal or a pet.
