meh i already looked and i still dont get it completely?
how is "everyone in one seamless world" if it isnt a MMORPG?
-do you just explore some world, get some ppl u want to play with and magically warp to an arena to fight or something?
-how is the battle system? is it turnbased, point and click menu, live action?

Its you're basic MMO template, but you dont EVER run into people outside of towns (which is why it isnt a MMO). Why? because its all instanced.. its "neat" i suppose, but i didnt like it..
If i were you, id either just try it, or wait til its bargin bin material..
because imo, its a waste of 50 bucks if your a MMO vet..

No monthly fee. In towns everyone playing can see/interact with each other. When you leave town, you have your own version of the world. If you team up, your team shares that world together. It's like MMORPGs in terms of levelling up and combat (real time). PvP is a big part of the game, however. You can PvP right away (at level 20), but you can only use the skills you unlocked while playing through the game with your characters.

Think Diablo 2's online experience except theres alot more to do,less of a singleplayer story,WoW style quests, heavy emphasis on PvP at max levels and everyone can dick around in town instead of a lobby.
It's actually quite fun right now but in a month or two of heavy play...hard to say.

Whoa! That's just factually incorrect. All instances are created on ANet servers.

I don't say so. The facts do. WoW has been hacked at least 3 times so far.

Let's not forget that GW gets patched very quickly due the streaming tech. They pushed out 3 builds yesterday that fixed a couple minor and one major bug.

ok so the battle system is like real time hack and slash where you manually move, attack, block, dodge, etc?
i guess this is worth getting since its pretty impractical for me to pay for two monthly mmorpg accounts for my brother and i

ok im kinda confused again?
now im hearing that this actually has a single main mission/story you can accomplish. How does the MMO elements integrate into this? Are you simply just playing the game like a traditional offline RPG with the option to connect to online cities and do online arena battles/side missions?
Can you pass the entire main mission through online coop?

Yep, there's a main mission/story line that you can complete. It works the same way as all other aspects of the game: you can see "everyone" in towns and outposts but when you attempt a mission, they create a new instance of the mission solely for your party. Your party can consist of people, or if you want, henchmen.

one last question, i think:
can this game be played completely "offline"?
paying for 2 copies of this game at $100 each is pretty big....i think i better check it out and see if im going to like it
or atleast, is there a easy way to check out the beta, or the demo coming soon?
