Torus is not my friend!

Hey everyone... How the heck do you easily make a torus in GTK. I use this shape a lot for trim, and adding bulk around pipes, columns, and cubing around platforms. I can easily make the parts to construct the shape, but getting it to seal, and scale properly is not working for me. Anyone know of a tut for making a torus?

Thanks,

you have to create a cylinder. By default you can see couple of vertex points. But they wont be enough for building a torus. You have to add rows (curve>insert>rows) and bend the cylinder by moving the vertex points until you have your desired shape.

don't recommend to use patch-fragments for you torus. It would result in strange shadows.
