I was wondering if there was a way in quake 3 to have the crosshair change colour based on how much dmg you do to an enemy. Ive seen this a few time in quake live streams and was wondering how its done.

It's a mod thing, there is no way to do it in vanilla Q3.

cpma does showdmg on the crosshair, however it shows the dmg done to me XD I was more looking for the dmg i do to my opponent.

that would be more like a hack to see your enemies health, not allowed.
but for you it's ok since you always look at your xhairs

I dont rly wanna see his health, i just kinda want my xhair to reflect the dmg i do to him. Ie the colour changes red on a connect rocket/rail and blue on plasma/lg or rocket splash. Just so i dont have to rely on the beep to tell if a rail connects or if rocket spam connects.

the only way u'll get this is on a private server that would allow it, AND if a mod/hack like it would be made.

Well not really, since I think CPMA (and possibly OSP as well) tune the frequency of the bleep to the amount of damage done as well. In fact, even in vanilla Quake 3 you can tell how much damage you did by listening to the player's hurt sounds. Bigger damage gives a more intense shout of pain. Requires some memorizing and forcing yourself to listen to it, but it does work and shouldn't be too hard when forcing models.

that's what i meant, just learn to listen to the hit sounds.
