PSU/Mobo problem

So. PC quit on me yesterday while typing an e-mail. It simply lost power. Reboot only gives power for an instant, then gone again. Checked PSU, had faulty 8 pin ATX cable. Bought new PSU. Placed it, PC keeps power up again.
Now it does start through, but it beeps continously, one long tone. It does this when it's only the MOBO and PSU that's connected and when all the drives are connected as well. Mobo is an Asus p5n32e-sli.
So, what could this be? CPU fried? Mobo broken? Something else?

i understood repeating endless loop as an endless on off beeping, not just a tone. I'll try to switch memory around tomorrow. Shouldn't be happening though as it has 2 new sticks, and the singular old stick has been tested extensively 2 months ago.

Also double check all your cables. Disconnect each cable and reattach it. I've had mobos fail on post just because a cable was plugged in but apparently not perfectly attached. This is especially since you just swapped the PSU.
If the CPU, mobo and PSU is attached but there is no memory, it should beep at you, it's when it doesn't (and is completely not responsive) that you should worry. Memory in, it should post.

Memory was the problem, or actually I was the problem for not pushing one stick in completely in my last round. Problem solved. Thanks.
