Couple of weeks ago I read about a species of worm that lives exclusively underneath hippopotamus eyelids and feeds off their tears

there are tiny parasites that live in the epidermis of human eyelids (i.e. everyone's eyelids)

Planet Earth has a section about ants infected by spores which make them do odd things. It's impressive to watch and slightly unnerving actually.



You may want to skip to about 4:20 as the video starts of with some time-lapse footage of fungus growing (it's cool to see though. No erect cock jokes though please).
The amazing thing is that infected ants are actually carried off away from the colony and dumped by other ants to make sure they don't infect other ants.
