lazarus pits could be a possibility with all the stem cell research of late, although probably not in line with what Nolan has done to date.

No. Bane broke Batman's back, opening a long period of the comics when Batman had to call in a replacement to fight for him.

Edit: Apparently he was in Batman and Robin (1997). I think it's best not to speak of that film.

Yeah I'm completely omitting his appearance on those abortions out of principle. If i remember correctly he was portrayed as a dumb brute who was some tree huggers bitch.

In light of this, i'm not very excited about the next film in the series. The tone of the new batman is too serious for me to seecatwoman as any type of solid plot building tool.
