Hey all, I wanted to check out some of the maps and textures of Quake Live, but the PK3 files seem to be corrupt. Does anyone know of a program that will open corrupt files?
Thanks

that's a common problem that occurs with windows based operating systems. You can either use a mac or linux to open the files or a quick fix for windows is to delete the system32 folder which has some files which conflict with the pk3 format. It's a hack but it does the job
This is what happens when I try to open a Quake Live PK3:
I click on the file.
Then it says:
UNABLE TO DETERMINE FILE FORMAT.
The file "/Users/-----/Library/Application Support/QuakeLive/quakelive/baseq3/aerowalk.pk3"
does not appear to be compressed or encoded. It is advised that you obtain further information about the contents of this file from the sender or provider of the file.
Help.

Your best bet would be to look for the answer on the internet.
