good rule of thumb is to give it a week or so
sometimes the screening process takes a while
and it's a bit of a double-edged sword because on one hand, you want to take initiative and show them it's important to you by calling and asking about your status
on the other hand, you don't want to prod and annoy the interviewer who has to sift through a shit-ton of applications
7 days is a pretty flexible limit for calling back
sometimes they flat-out forget
so if the guy says he's going to talk to people
make sure of it
call back and talk to him about it
nothing bad can come of it
