The Stanley Parable- it's quite an exceptional "game" experience but I don't really know what to call it.

It is an exploration of choice, freedom, storytelling and reality, all examined through the lens of what it means to play a video game.

You will make a choice that does not matter

You will follow a story that has no end

You will play a game you cannot win

You just need the source 2007 sdk to play.

I love the way they've made this. Very nice and original way of breaking through the 4th wall.

thanks! my pc is really slow (eee 1000h) and i almost missed out on this one.

really cool game idea. great concept!

I don't think this mod requires a very powerful PC to run. But it's so short that the hassle of downloading it and installing it isn't worth it if you can get the same enjoyment out of a YouTube video.

aye, and they've found a great narrator too. it can be difficult to get something like that to work but they've pretty much nailed it.

Yeah. Not having a perfect narration voice (and recording quality of that) would completely ruin the whole experience.

The author of The Stanley Parable is making The Stanley Parable Remix. It's going to be released the 17th of this month through Steam. A demo is already available and is said to contain different content than the full "game".

If you missed this thing the first time around, then here's your chance to experience an improved version of it. New graphics and some new bits of content are part of the remix as well.

Check out the YouTube Channel as well, there's a few um... interesting videos in there. The making of trailer is kind of harsh
