yes, zombies show up, the women panic, the men shoot at them,...for the 7th time in a row.
and for the season's opening, a girl gets lost in the woods. Can't wait to see what happens next

any sign yet of that guy who hacksawed his hand off on the roof in season 1? can't believe that left that crucial plot thread dangling

I'm just glad they can just somehow hide under cars and throw a dead bodies over themselves to hide from a hoard...even when they are bleeding profusely. Good thing they wasted all that time covering themselves in zombie guts in season one.

The sign was the deer btw, living and defenceless. The fact the deer was shot was supposed to shock you because it came from man, not zombie. The kid being in the way is just a plot device, clearly...

I thought it was a strong season start, but the last 10 minutes or so were a bit shit, what with the talking to jesus and all that. Doesn't add anything to the characters and it just gets on my nerves, ffs don't do scenes like that. The bit with the entering and clearing the church right before that was profoundly awesome though

Also, jesus is obviously on the side of the zombies.

I was holding my breath for the season opener, what with Frank Darabont gone, but the show still has awesome talent behind it. None of the show's intelligence, pacing, subtlety, or direction has been compromised.

yes. it frequently gays off on one but so far it's a lot more interesting/violent than the first series - hopefully they can keep up the pace.

this season needs to bring in some decent female characters, all the ones they've got atm are really annoying.

But hullbilly woman who chatted up generic asian guy was hot. And hillbilly crossbow dude is still the best character on the show.

Meh the last episode was slow and uninteresting, save a few scenes. They really need to stop the characters talking about their personal issues so much, every time they do that it just brings the tempo of things to a screeching halt and i find myself rather annoyed. Also, i don't give a damn about their badly written emotional dribble; there's a zombie invasion people, harden the fuck up instead of nonsensically complaining how this world is unfit for having children or dramatically throwing up at the sight of a mutilated zombie.

The exciting/tense scenes are still solid imo, there's just not enough of em :E

action is good and all, but getting inside these people's heads is part of what makes this show so special.
