Problems adjusting r_gamma when using r_fullscreen "1"

More problems. =/ I can adjust the r_gamma when not using fullscreen. When I enable fullscreen, it loads up darker than normal also ... maybe r_gamma "0.8" in brightness. When I loaded up the game using Icculus, I figured that it may be different but it isn't. Is there some cvar that needs to be adjusted on top of the r_gamma to make the r_gamma work? or ... hmm. I'm using Windows 7 now ... does that have anything to do with it?

It still doesn't stop it. When I try to change the r_gamma, I get a "setdevicegammaramp failed" r_ignore is "1" I went to change that to "0" and it says that it's cheat protected, so I added +set sv_cheats "1" to my server.bat and it still won't change ... is that it?

It's not cheat protected. Strange EXE you're running there.

Only the r_ignore is cheat protected ... I dunno ... The .exe is as they released it, and it hasn't been touched.

I dunno, I only run CNQ3 these days. Thought it was the same in the original Q3 EXE.

I think it might be some kind of graphics card driver conflict that was sorted out in a patch. the CNQ3 version I run is not the latest cause of something like that *shrug* (The changelog explained.)

r_ignorehwgamma shouldn't be cheat protected, I have to use it to control it in fullscreen

if you still can't get it, try using r_intensity instead, it makes the game brighter a bit

It isn't, r_ignore is. I tried r_intensity and that didn't do anything either. When I first boot up the game at fullscreen, it's all normal in brightness until a couple of seconds pass, then it gets darker.
