So I'm in Seattle...
So I'm in Seattle...
Been here since Friday, be here until Sunday. I drove over and checked out Olympic National Forest yesterday. That was pretty sweet. Then drove on over to the coast, which was also cool. Is there anything else I should do/see while I'm here? Thinking about maybe making a day trip to Vancouver on Saturday. Not sure though...

Some pics I took...
Olympic National Forest

A huge tree I found on the cliffs of the coast. The bottom fell out and the roots are exposed...

Re: So I'm in Seattle...
I'm really happy with the way the last photo came out. Reminds me of a storybook cover.

Re: So I'm in Seattle...
Olympic Nat'l Park is fucking awesome.
Did you see both sections of the park or just the inland part?
In Seattle proper, Pike Place Market and the aquarium are worth a look, and glass museum in Tacoma if you like that sort of thing. Skip the Experience Music Project -- waste of money.
If you have time to leave the city, Mt. Rainier is tits. Mt. St. Helens can be pretty cool, too, when it's not foggy.
EDIT: Just noticed you said you were in the Forest, not the Park. Disregard.

Re: So I'm in Seattle...
At Olympic I was around Quinault Lake and the rain forest. Absolutely beautiful country.
I've already been down to Pikes Place Market a couple times this week, and plan on going again. They'll fill you up on samples alone.
On my way to the forest I could see Mt. Rainier in the distance. That's a big bitch!

Ok, so what's there to see in Vancouver? Any notable drinking establishments I should know about? No gay bars feedback...
Re: So I'm in Seattle...
lol, traveling alone must suck. Go jump off the Space Needle or something.
Re: So I'm in Seattle...
Nice try, but I'm not alone.
Re: So I'm in Seattle...
Nice pics dude, that tree looks phenomenal.
Re: So I'm in Seattle...
That tree is pretty cool, kinda like it tried to run away from something but failed.

subject matter is cool but the pics look awful....you couldn't find a young kid or something to take them? figured you'd have one with you on your "business trip"

Re: So I'm in Seattle...
Oh yeah, fuck the space needle. Instead, go to the observatory lounge in the US Bank bld (or is it bank of america?), it's the tallest bld in Seattle. It's higher than the space needle and it's only like $5. I think it's on the 40-sth floor.
I love quake!
Re: So I'm in Seattle...
Oh cool, he can jump off that one instead.
