I've had that effect happen to me and it's fucking hard to say anything but you CAN if you choose to you just don't hear yourself so you can't tell how you sound. Unless you're really shy about how you sound, which might fit the bill for asians there's no way that thing will silence some loud fucking redneck that wants nothing more than to tell you how god hates fags.

Yeah, when it happened to me it was on the phone and there was an echo of myself repeating everything I said with about a .2 second delay. It stopped me right away but as I need to speak with the person over the phone I got over it, but it did cause me to stop momentarily.

If you put your hands over your ears, won't it immediately render the weapon useless?

Wish you could do that with real guns, lol.
