Noticed a deal for this on Google and I'm seriously considering it. Even with the deal the price is a little steep for decent sized canvas, but it looks so damn cool.

My first thought was someone trying to build a DNA database. Not saying that's what they're doing, just my first reaction.

Yes a great idea.
Maybe a little on the expensive side but they could be still testing the market for what they will pay?
Perhaps if you wait the price maygo down a little but I'm betting it will find a good market at that price and it won't fall
I'd probably grab one of those Ancestry Portraits™

I could do the same thing except my only expense would be a cotton swab. I'd just take random DNA sequences and print them out. profit!

So, is this the hipster way of commissioning a giant looming portrait of one's self and hanging it over the mantle as a gateway to a long soliloquy introducing one's great exploits in life? If so, I shall order one for my estate at once!

Yea I was worried about that too. According to the FAQ they have a strict set of policies in place to keep you safe and destroy your sample directly after the print is made.
