After the linear snoozefest that was Crysis 2, it's nice to see they'll actually make use of the engine's eye candy and go back to the "sandbox rainforest".

I was lucky to be involved in the testing of the first one, but I found it boring really - didn't play the second one

Second one was good if you can enjoy HALO type shooters.

I liked the second one a lot because you could pick up the HMG :owned:

btw whoever designed the compound bow he's holding has clearly never seen (or fired for that matter) the real thing...

Why would you even be using a bow and arrow against alien robots? Might as well as have flinging feces as one of your selectable weapons.

Graphics are pretty though.

was when i was a kid (which was at agincourt, obviously)

the string on a compound goes around the pulleys twice in a kind of cats cradle type of shape, and the axles of the pulleys are offset from the centre, which is what makes the 'let-off' (i.e. ability to hold fully drawn at up to 50% less effort) possible

not only is there no cats cradle in that shot, but the pulleys aren't offset. they just chose the compound look because 'it looks cool'. also, he's holding it in the wrong place (should be higher up nearer the centre), and all that crap around where the grip should be looks useless (no, it isn't a sight - though crytek will probably swear blind it's a holo-optic infra-red imaging system with big frikkin lasers)

:olo: It does look a little odd.

Have to agree with obs... arrows vs. mech-robo warrior dudes? wtf? Maybe the arrows are made of solid diamond and heated to 3500 degrees to pierce steel and disrupt core electrical functioning of the robo dudes

Clearly bows > guns because bows are silent and stealthy. Who needs a silencer when you can carry around a quiver instead?

None of that nonsense. He's simply shooting the mech in its arrow soft spot. Every mech has one somewhere, usually on the face.

I haven't started Crysis 2 yet, had it installed for ages. But now that Skyrim is done and dusted, might as well. Is it as good as warhead, because I enjoyed that and that was just an expansion pack. Is it as long as the first game or is it short?
