Computer tracking?

I bought this one descent computer (3000+ mhz w/ flat screen, XP pro) from a niegbor for $50!! It was almost brand new and it wasn't like dusty at all.
I saw the cops at his house a while ago and I over heard "missing computer" when I rode by his house on my skateboard. I started to freak and I was like "omg liek!! My computer is stolen!?" I thought if they found out I had it I was going to get in DEEP trouble. This computer is NIICCE though. Better than my old one.
Is there ANY way they would be able to track this computer down?
I really am not 100% sure if its stolen, but I am too scared to ask my neigber (if he says yes, then he probably molest me
