Jesus, that has a nice 50's feel to it. Is everyone there that disconnected or just the morons closely employed by morons in leadership?

Or possibly carefully doctored to look that way for whatever psychological reason?

There's some very interesting docu's about NK and the brainwashed madness that seems to have the entire country in it's grip. The one by Vice Travel comes to mind, rather a fun watch. Should be easy to find with the google machine.

Friend of mine actually went on one of those tours btw, apparently it's difficult but not impossible to get into the country from China. But he's a bit of a mad cunt that one, gets his kick out of weird things, it's something i wouldn't recommend doing at all. The whole repression everywhere you look thing would get under my skin, i couldn't even handle the relatively benign Mubarrak Egypt regime without going slightly crazy and ending up hating everyone after 2 weeks. A country where a sizable part of the population actually believes 100% of the shit the regime tells them would just be too fucking depressing for my tastes.

Wow, this is the first hear of this vice traveling, can't wait to check out all their shit

Also, must suck when you try to ignore stereotypes and then find out first hand that it's all true. :miffed:

I just sat through 57 minutes of parts 1, 2 & 3 of the he VICE Guide to North Korea.

The videos are very enlightening indeed. If you can spare the minutes is certainly worth the view to see "how the other half live".

Some great pieces in there but the ARIRANG piece about 12 minutes into part 3 really details the enthusiasm of the people  :paranoid:

Thanks seremtan for the topic & Ryoki for the hint

I'm off to Liberia next obsidian :D

He's wrong about Arnold Schwarzenegger's reason for not becoming president; it's not cause he had an affair with his maid and got her pregnant, her then giving birth, it's cause he was not born in the U.S.A.

yeah i noticed that too. also the "shopping for children" part was inaccurate, since they were adopted not bought with cash money

tbh the bit about celebs reminded me of the 'god bless america' trailer
