If you don't fondly recall him on the TV series Airwolf, you're a faggot.

Nah, nothing beats the Airwolf theme playing and the chopper rising up from behind a mountain.

And they got far cooler names:

Airwolf > KITT
Stringfellow Hawke > Michael Knight
The FIRM > FLAG

So there.

Even better: the chopper rose up from inside the mountain. The secret base was inside a cavern.

Can't remember much of the show tbh, but the theme song was fucking awesome.

Oh right, that's true.
I was thinking of when they were going to shoot the bad guys though. They would always rise from behind a hill or tall building or something.

McHale's Navy (his most famous role according to the news) was never shown over here afaik, but I grew up with Dominic Santini, Dutch and Cabbie - most of all though, I'll always remember Borgnine as Max, the lovable manservant on Hart to Hart. His gravelly voice always ran over the credits, introducing the amateur detectives with his trademark line, "it was moider" <3

Turns out that was Lionel Stander.

i fondly recall ernest borgnine from 'escape from new york' and also that movie whose name i can't remember in which he was the conductor of a train in a one-man war against the hobos who tried to get a free ride. i seem to remember he got owned by the boss hobo at the end

This. Although if we compare real actor's names, I think David Hasslelhoff beats Jan-Michael Vincent, tbh. But, Airwolf didn't have anyone like whoever that swishy ponce of a boss Michael Knight had.

They're all prancing, limp-wristed, douche chompers next to the A Team, anyways.

True, but the A-team were just lucky they got locked up in a shed with plate steel, a welding torch and 4km's of ducttape. Every. Single. Time.

tv was so stupid back then, wonder if that reflected the audience , or they also thought of it just as silly as I do.

edit: k for the bloodthirsty morons out there, tv is still pretty stupid but it's a completely diff. kind of stupid.

R.I.P. Ernest Borgnine :tear:

I fondly remember him McHale's Navy from my childhood, yes that long ago.
Great B&W TV in those days and I can't recall it in colour :dork:

Don't remember the Airwolf show/series mentioned. Maybe never aired here.

Whiskey 7 is so old, his fondest memories are in black and white.
