Holy insane Americans, Batman!

Ultra-paranoid cop visiting Canada feels threatened by complete strangers making small talk with him and wishes he had his pop gun
Recently, while out for a walk in Nose Hill Park, in broad daylight on a paved trail, two young men approached my wife and me. The men stepped in front of us, then said in a very aggressive tone: "Been to the Stampede yet?"
We ignored them. The two moved closer, repeating: "Hey, you been to the Stampede yet?"
I quickly moved between these two and my wife, replying, "Gentle-men, I have no need to talk with you, goodbye." They looked bewildered, and we then walked past them.
I speculate they did not have good intentions when they approached in such an aggressive, disrespectful and menacing manner. I thank the Lord Jesus Christ they did not pull a weapon of some sort, but rather concluded it was in their best interest to leave us alone.
According to him "talking to a complete stranger" = "aggressive tone"
Makes perfect sense. Especially since he's a cop (paranoid authoritarian), from Michigan (a state with a history of some of the most insane and violent racial segregation on the planet) and, obviously, a Conservative. And he wonders why the guys looked "bewildered" at his anti-social response to them? It never crossed his mind that they might have simply gotten annoyed at...you know...a rude asshole in broad daylight. And then they walked away (which I'm sure can be interpreted as an aggressive manner to some people I suppose...like people who are complete retards).
"bewildered" = "aggressive tone"
This woman throws it back in his face and shits all over him and his dumb country.

A report has emerged that the two men who "accosted" Walt Wawra and his wife in Nose Hill Park were actually Calgary Stampede promoters giving away free tickets.

Good thing these guys weren't giving out food product samplers.
According to the spokesman from the Calgary Stampede the story of them giving out free tickets was false. I don't know either way...but I'll be damned if I just assume that in broad daylight people in Canada being friendly in a public park are somehow being hostile. So even if we never hear the other side from the two guys in the park, I'd rather give them the benefit of the doubt over this gun-crazy yank redneck.
However, what I do know is that, based on his paranoid behavior, I nailed the fact that he's a "big C" Conservative and an authoritarian mouth-breather:
Incidentally, Wawra's previous claim to fame was a 2011 letter to the editor of the Kalamazoo Gazette, in which he took issue with President Obama's invitation of Common to the White House.
