Some websites have a live sales person who assists you through a chat window. Maybe post a link to this business?

So obsidian, you think it was human?
I somehow got a different view.
It seemed convincing but there was something missing.... Wait....Wait..
Oh, that was what I was looking for,
service
Sorry, forgive the sarcasm, not directed at you
I figure I am better off walking into the store and interacting with a real
'salesperson' and ask the same question.
I am just miffed I spent near 30 minutes of my life this way....
Post a link?
Tempting, but most of you are OS to me here
down under.
I really didn't want to waste you time as I did me.

PM if you wish and I'll gladly supply.

That looks real.
I setup a custom chatbot once back when ICQ was hot. I setup it up on AIM, ICQ and in an IRC channel and named it Alice. That's the original name of the bot fyi, but it had this programming language that was fairly easy to modify called AIML.
Long story short and about 1000 lines of code later I set it up and recorded the conversations and they were pretty epic. I really wish I'd held on to them.
The bot didn't lie so when people asked it's age (which they almost all did) the bot would reply 2 years old as that was how long ago it was created. When probed it would reveal that it's in fact a bot.
People outright called it a liar, they refused to believe it was a bot in many cases while others did know it was a bot. the 300 word per minute replies should really have been a good clue...
Anyway, fun times but I feel I have a keen eye for stuff like that (I do work in the IT field) and that doesn't seem like a bot. Just a slacker or LG's call centers could be horrible which is a real possibility.

Yes, in reflection, leaning towards simply bad Customer service.

Why are you a pathological liar? Why would you lie about something so stupid?
Dr. Richard S. Wallace formed the ALICE A. I. Foundation in 2001 to promote the development and adoption of Artificial Intelligence Markup Language (AIML) and ALICE free software. Dr. Wallace has a Ph.D. in computer science from Carnegie Mellon.

Evidently Dr. Richard S. Wallace is a dangerous man who frequents Hell's Angels clubs and beats people with lead pipes.

He didn't lie, he said that was the default name. Learn reading comprehension.
He also said he modified the bot code, which that A.L.I.C.E. bot program allows you to do.
I happen to know this cause Gutspiller installed one on TheForumzzz as a member. It was rubbish as it turned out, though, cause it didn't remember anything anyone chatting to it said and had really bad comprehension. Not unlike you... oh wait...

I have a feeling that DTS is one of those people who if invited to a surprise birthday party will call up the person with the birthday and say, "Hey bud, happy birthday... BTW, what time is the surprise party, I don't want to be late... it's at your girlfriend's place, right?"

Cool incredibly implausible story bro. DTS couldn't get a friend if he bought a Teddy Ruxpin.

By the way I entered "Live Chat" with my telephone/broadband company* today. I should have know better. It ended
* Don't know where you come from but out sad nation is engaging overseas call centers for their business interactions. Language isn't a problem if they can type (apparently)

That is indeed the bot and feel free to point out what you think I said that was a lie. The AIML language that bot works with is like an XML language and super easy to modify. I didn't insinuate I created it from scratch but I did add a lot of custom dialogue. As someone else mentioned though it doesn't remember much in terms of keeping a conversation but apparently it was enough to fool some people. Mostly from Pakistan I think.
