Cut in half, take out seed, fill with balsamic dressing, cover in a thick layer of salt and pepper, eat with spoon. So much win.

Just don't cook them and you can't really go wrong.

I usually just make tacos, you don't even need meat. Some black beans, avocados, pico de gallo and jack cheese or sour cream on some corn tortillas.

You can put them in a salad, on a sandwich, pretty much anything where you'd use fresh vegetables.

Marinade 1/4 to 1/2 thinly chopped red onions in a few tablespoons of balsamic vinegar for half hour. Dice (~1/2" cubes) avacados. Mix together, add salt, olive oil, and finely chopped coriander. Optionally add pepper and sugar. Give it a good stir and ommnomnomnom.

Also, guacamole duh.

One of my favourites to share :D

Ingredients:
Avocado
2 slices of bread
Vegemite

Steps to a heavenly snack
1. remove flesh from avocado
2. mash with fork (cutlery one) in breakfast bowl to a smooth paste
3. now spoon on one slice of fresh crusty bread (I have tried a few but white tastes best) add salt/pepper as you please
4. on other piece of bread spread Vegemite* be sure to use enough to taste
5. slap the two pieces of bread together and presto, a great, yummy delicacy of a sandwich

Looks something like this

Bacon. Eggs. Cheese. Avocado.
Cook bacon. Cook eggs scrambled. Melt cheese on eggs. Add avocado. Eat.

Bacon. Tomatoes. Lettuce. Sourdough. Avocado. Mayo optional.

Slap bacon lettuce tomato between two golden brown slices of sourdough toast. Add avocado.

Alternatively, just eat the damn avocado as is. You can't go wrong with them.

I'm a lazy yet practical motherfucker.

I eat one every day with a small spoon. I use the spoon to slice it in half and then eat the flesh with the spoon. If I have no spoon I use my fingers to peel a little skin off then squeeze the motherfucking flesh into my mouth.

I use one napkin to clean up also.

they are pretty awesome just on their own but eat them with other healthy foods because they help you absorb other nutrients.

Yes, though I like to fill the dent with lemon juice and olive oil + pepper/salt

great way to get calories in without carbs.

also, this is pretty good if you want it as an ingredient rather than just eating it (the texture of avocado chunks is really unpleasant to me - too squishy): http://www.vegetariantimes.com/recipe/s ... ento-bowl/

Avocado ey! Just put that bad boy on some toast and call it a day. Otherwise eat it straight up and don't make a fuss.

Don't think you should.
I cherish senior Q3W members.
Lay off the bacon. You can do without that pig candy.

Thanks for the senior status Plan B :D

I :olo: at the pig candy as I have never heard that one before. Truly, I eat bacon, trimmed of obvious fat maybe once/twice a moth,. No big deal as far as I can see, remember I have had my heart attack and have the right (cholesterol lowering) pills to take. Yes I need to shed a few kilos after the festive season but who looses any weight in that period :smirk:
