Both look crap.
Also in the original Tomb Raider you didn't see the front of Lara Croft unless you went out of your way to do so

I think dts is trying to make a point.
But I find it difficult to determine what that point is, exactly.

The point is the front of Lara Croft was lower polygoned and lower detailed because you hardly ever saw it when playing the game; you viewd her from the back. So comparing her front to newer graphics ain't fair. The original game's representation of her front was intended as the (pre-rendered) cut-scene version.

It's worth pointing out that no character nowadays has a lower poly count on the front because it's viewed less frequently.

If polycounts were equivalent to IQ, DTS would still be one vertex shy of a triangle.
