This surely will be a "Steven Spielberg show" in the same way that Boardwalk Empire is a Martin Scorsese show or that House of Cards is a David Fincher show, i.e. they work on the pilot and that's about it.

Also, Spielberg is way past his prime ( ) and probably doesn't give a shit about Halo. Any enthusiasm was likely feigned in his video announcement. I know he's a decent-enough actor because of his "Daniel Day-Lewis as Obama" video. Same deal here.

Didn't Spielberg fail spectaculary with that last science fiction show he tried? The one with aliens who invade earth and the collection of annoyingly fit, handsome suburbanites that fights them aided by the power of prayer and the use of firearms? I think i stopped watching after episode 4 because it made my brain melt, but i imagine it got axed, never heard of it again.

Haha yeah, that show was shit too. It's a shame there's been no decent scifi for years now... it's like the whole genre imploded TV wise (in movies it's still going strong thank the gods).

Falling Skies is honestly not a bad show.
