I'd request that from now on any and all threads about phones be locked on sight. This forum is dying because some idiot thinks this forum is his blog and some other idiot calls him poor. And worse still it bumps actual interesting threads to the second and third pages, where they're forgotten and die...all because two morons want to fill up every page on this forum.

Someone lock this thread.

I don't mind there being some nonsense threads, but it gets kind of annoying when every ("serious") thread devolves into this "u poor, no u" kind of pissing contest. And there's primarily two people responsible for that.

In all seriousness, what's the point in locking it? At any given time there's only a handful of active threads on this dying forum. So why lock a thread where we can give each other shit and have a few laughs? What's it hurting? No point in closing if ya ask me...

No they don't. They've been doing this for so long and so often I'm guessing half the forum doesn't even notice anymore.

Serious discussion can still occur in the same thread. And if they annoy you that much, there's always the block feature...

It derails threads or makes people not go back since all they'll read is "no u". I have lost count of how many times I've come to this forum only to close the browser without opening a single thread, because I see that the most recent posts are by the usual idiots.

and I think they do tend to keep away from threads with a half decent discussion, they might turn up but on the whole it's left alone imo.

The phone thread was still drawing a few posters n all, not just 2, with phone benchmarks being mentioned a page before that geoff even tried getting involved in.

Y'all are living in a fantasy world. Quake 3 is a 15 year old game! We have a new member every 6 months come in and ask how to play multiplayer, and then they're gone. Not because they were trolled, but because they don't give two shits about this forum. They just want a little help playing the game. There will be no new members. So you better just get used to what's left and let the fucking antics continue. Cause let's face it, that's all that's left...

I never said its about Quake. What I'm implying is that it was initially about Quake. And the only new people we get around here are people trying to play Quake 3, a 15 year old game. So you're not going to get much...
