This was Pug. He was a bit top-heavy while he walked and, ultimately, died of an enlarged scrotum.

Planning on getting a dog when I move, but don't have time for a big dog that needs to be walked. I know it's best to go to a shelter but I don't think they'll have small dogs there.

They do. The one we got our pup from had quite a few smaller dogs.

So a picture of a photoshopped Giraffe is not ok but your wife is fair game? I'll remember that.

lol at lawl's post :)
pets are ok if that's all you can afford. as long as you don't take a personal day when one of them dies.

Ahh, you're one of 'them' that think being hungover isn't a good enough reason :D

The shelters have dogs of all types. We didn't want a large dog or one that had long hair. Turk is 70lbs and has short hair. He's what one might call a plot hound or Kerr. It's always better to adopt from a shelter. So keep checking your locals and you'll surely find the pup for you.

will do that  couldn't say I loved animals if I didn't at least check out a shelter before buying from a pet store

Be honest, the cage is for the kid and not the dog.

Crate training is a widely practiced form of training for puppies.
