Long story short, I messed up my system and now need to format. I'm on the Knoppix linux live cd right now. What is the default burning app to use? From the short time I looked around couldn't see one. I needs to backup some files before the format. And, if I burn under knoppix/kde the cd will be fully compatible under windows when I return to it rite?
Thx!

Also, are there any bootable-windows type images available similar to knoppix? The problem I'm having could possibly be fixed if I can get into xp and fix it.
One of those 'win floppy boot disks' wont do, cuz I don't have a floppy drive
EDIT: Woo looks like bart's pe builder should be able to do the job

Hopefully it will let me get into the 'old' control pannel/device manager to access some things...
I really like this kde shell and all but it's crashed twice already maybe I should get a newer build this one is like 2 years old

unless you're Linux savvy, you might want to try
Kubuntu's Live cd. K3B is the app you want. Knoppix might even have it, can't recall.

XP will have no problems with data files burned to cd using K3B.
