Hi, True Combat being one of the oldest (and best) mods for Quake 3, I think it deserves a mention on these forums - it can be downloaded on its official website.

True Combat:Elite and Close Quarter Battles are the descendants of Q3TC, they run on an improved version of Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory






The mods are naturally free, indie-developed - there might be a chance for a source release someday (for TCE - the q3tc sources were lost a long time ago).
