Half-Life 3

I have no new news.

I was thinking about it, and has it come to a point where it's no longer funny anymore? Maybe Valve has absolutely no plans for it. Is there any other game that has this much anticipation and wait time behind it? It's come to a point where the wait became a bit of a joke among gamers. But now it's just ridiculous. And you've got to wonder if it's ever going to happen at all. And with all the wait and hype, could Valve even live up to it all? More than likely not. Any game with this much anticipation can never be realized...

Just a Sunday funday random thought...

I really don't understand all this "no longer funny" and "bit of a joke" and "just ridiculous" business. What exactly is ridiculous here? That they're not talking about a game they haven't even announced their intention of making? "Maybe Valve has absolutely no plans for it." No fucking shit.

Maybe Valve also has absolutely no plans to create a Custer's Revenge sequel. All this wait and hype omg omg omg. Should we sit down and list all of the things that Valve has absolutely no plans of doing?

Any and all hype here appears to be self-generated. The only thing ridiculous here is your face.

They'll release it if and when they're ready to. Until then, find something else to do.

Jesus fucking hell.

If you need a HL fix try that cinematic mod. I am on my 3rd time through (when I have the time) and just love it :)

Well, as far as you not understanding the "no longer funny" and "bit of a joke" and "just ridiculous" business, I was referring to the gamer fans...not Valve...

didn't they leave the last episode on a cliffhanger which is why a sequel was expected?

aren't they working on their own console/pc system? not sure of the details, of how that works, but maybe the 3rd installment could be an exclusive, atleast for a partial period. that would def. give their system a nice little interest boost.

They've said they won't make any games exclusive for the steam box

Also U4EA is correct, but it doesn't help when Valve employes wear HL3 tshirts to conferences and stuff

they stated the Eps were considered HL3. I think they also said there would be an Ep3 to finish it off.
(they should, the cliffhanger at the end of Ep2 is too big to be ignored).

Oh that's a fun game, i'll go first:

The correct name for the state of being where one finds himself posting a barrage of uninteresting messages on a dying forum all day in lieu of work.

Dunno man... remember how long we had to wait for Spore? At this point it'd probably be a mistake to even make the game before anyone who played HL2 was dead. If only to avoid the disappointment when the game doesn't live up to expectations.

the episodes are HL3, chumps

HL4 will take place in the Matrix, and the launch will be timed to coincide with the 200th anniversary of Gabe's birth

Anyone know when Leisure Suit Larry 4 will be released? It has come to a point where it's no longer funny anymore. It's come to a point where the wait became a bit of a joke among gamers. But now it's just ridiculous. And you've got to wonder if it's ever going to happen at all
