Fuck me pumps - who wears 'em?

anyone here a regular wearer of boots, i.e. Timberland/Doc Marten etc. that recommend some that are long-lasting?
i have
these, which are super-comfortable, but the soles have started to split laterally (only a year after getting them) to the point where they're now beyond repair and effectively useless in the wet. this annoys me greatly, since they're otherwise good boots, and i'd expect better for the price i paid
have tried Timberlands, they're pretty good and the pair i bought years ago is still going strong, but they're not as comfortable
any suggestions?
in b4 the usual Q3W shenanigans

Sounds more like you have a posture problem.

If they're good enough for use in Nextinvasionistan, they ought to be good enough Cockswortshire.

Because the military is known to only supply their troops with the top most quality gear.

I believe most active military personnel get to choose their own boots.

I've worn Matterhorns almost every day for the past 15 years, they're the most comfortable footwear I've ever worn. Been through about four pairs due to the soles wearing out. I usually have two on the go, one for best and one for work. When I buy a new pair the best become work and the work get retired. The toes are reinforced with plastic, so you get a little bit of protection but not the discomfort of wearing steelies. Goretex inner and vibram soles means they're warm, allow your foot to breath and are comfy.
Also, If you treat the leather well and look after them they're waterproof up to your ankle because the tongue's sewn in.
You can pick them up unworn on ebay for £40

What?

My last pair of Red Wings lasted me fucking 6 years and I wore them almost every single day in that time.
Like bkb said, if you oil 'em once every month or two, they do well.

Nope. I wear flip flops everywhere. But then again I live near the beach so shoes are sort of pointless.
I miss my Docs though.

i am guessing the skimmer in me missed the purpose for which you intend these but I'd recommend Vasque or Scarpa for boots that last a good long while (depending on how often you oil / wax them), and provide comfortable support.

those look ok, but they're hiking boots. i'm after some presentable walking around boots, preferably ones that don't fall apart after one year of normal use
