can't find level, Q3TOURNEY6_ctf??? It's in your servers rotation, I have downloads enabled, can't seem to find this map anywhere on the net?

That map is in pak2.pk3. Either your game is not up to date or you need to actually buy the game, can't remember if pak2 is part of an update or not.

All pak*.pk3 files are part of updates, except pak0.pk3, as it comes with the game.

I do own the game, owned it since November 1999. Just haven't played it since 2001'ish or 2002'ish???

thanks, downloaded those and installed, still no Q3Tourney6_ctf file found? do I need to reinstall from scratch again? I am just missing the one map, and can't figure out what pak file it's in? Is it in an excessive map file, or a team arena map file?

Sorry for pestering you, I'm one of the old school DOS gamers from the late 80's and early 90's. Doom on a 80383 was where I got hooked and stayed hooked for quake 1, and badly addicted to q2 ctf, then q3 came out in november 1999. I stopped playing right after 2001 and I am just playing around here. I am sure you will find me on the CROM ctf server named Franky, or old fart, or something of the like. And, no, I am not saying how old I am. I'm too old. LOL and my gaming skills show it now a days. LOL

Nope.
The pro maps were pretty good actually. They fine tuned a few existing maps in collaboration with some pro players. Item placement was balanced and geometry was changed here and there (most notably in pro-q3tourney2).

With the trial by fire I think you mean pro-q3tourney7, Almost Lost.
It was an in-progress map that wasn't finished in time for the release of Quake 3. Fred Nilsson found it, finished it and released it.

oh that name rings a bell, that might be it.

and jerry please. pro-tourney2 was a hackjob, where someone found the clipping tool in radiant.

wasn't too fond of that one either, but pro-q3dm6 and pro-q3dm14 were better than the originals, due to item placement. And pro-q3tourney4 was better as well.
