If its not coming for PC aswell im gonna get pissed :icon33:
Killzone was awsome.. but it sucked arse with a controler, it would have been so much better on pc and in mp!
edit* i hope Quake 4 is like killzone 2 on the invasion part.

Because the title of a movie is always indicative of what it contains.

:icon17: it might not be an actual map in the game, but to simply dismiss it as prerendered because it looks (and prolly is) scripted is a bit off.
remember the halo2 trailer? that was ingame. ofcourse it was scripted as fuck (this prolly is too), but it did use the ingame engine. and that turned out to be true too.
see the diff between prerendered and prescripted?
[edit] also they wouldnt release official screenshots from a FMV would they

ofcourse i might be wrong and it may turn out to be cg, but i like to believe it isnt, seeing how the rest of the nextgen footage looks comparable.

I agree there. Playing FPS on consoles sucks so much ass. But if it has VGA or DVI out and support for a standard keyboard and mouse I might buy one

If the games aren't released for PC of course.

those who say beforehand that playing FPS with a controller prolly never played the old doom on a keyboard.
if so youd know how to circlestrafe properly and you wouldnt need a '180 turn at a flick of the hand'

its just like a kb/mouse combo (right hand view, left hand movement), just without the quick turning

Yeah, I played Wolfenstein 3D and all the later titles like most others my age. But do you really mean that it's more fun (or any fun) playing with a console joypad or whatever the name is? I tested Halo last year while my PC was working. First singleplayer than multi on one screen. It's infinitely better with mouse and keyboard combo IMO =) I would just get annoyed to death killing the console playing like that

well i wouldnt say its more fun, i just dont mind
added comfort is that you can chill out on the couch while doing so

Reef. I have a great PC. I can run anything on the market rigt now at full res, full spec with full frame rate. I can run the CryTech "the Project" tech demo full res and smooth as fuck.
But my pic would look at the 27 cd install of killzone 2, look at the specs and tell me to fuck right off.

well, killzone 2 won't be out for like a year or so, so I think the PC's then would probably be able to handle it

i think the pc is not pwerfull enough to run killzone 2, so ps3 which is 3 times stronger than the strongest PC here in the world SHOULD run it. Its not out till next year anyway

I doubt that....unreal tournament looked the same as far as graphics and in the e3 presentation they went into a freezeframe and moved all around in it in real time.
plus the ps3 is extremely powerful. Is it so hard to beleive that it could render that as in-game? dammit???

nope, people need to watch the PS3 press conference( I did last night , 2 hours long

) and listen to them explain how powerful this machine will be, and its still a year away. Its not some sissy ps2, this is the real deal in next gen kicking all current gen's ass. NEXT GEN, NEXT GEN GRAPHICS. Not now gen, next gen.

But most of those movies, which I probably watched three or four during rehearsals for the event, look very achievable and some were probably rendered on the actual box but in non-real-time. When a system is year away, heck even with a system is six months away, it is reasonable to expect the power of the dev kits would still only be a fraction of the power of the final system.

It will be achievable. Lets all just sit back, and watch the world of graphics in games to come impress the hell out of us.

Because it would be the most powerful game engine ever made and it would have been made by a company whos only other game is a dull generic console shooter.

Epic's Mark Rein on the PS3 real-time vs pre-rendered thingy:
"In addition to the Sony demos being shown by Phil Harrison, the Epic and EA presentations were the only third party portions actually running on the PS3 in real-time.
