Anyone have major life changes in the last couple years? Married/Divorced?

Finally identified, found and arrested? New careers? A career?

I got hired as the lead graphic artist at Rogers Sportsnet for the NHL this summer. My work is on national TV every night and I'm hoping the experience will land me a similar job in Finland within a year or two. Last month I won a merit from the biggest advertising and design awards show in Canada for a campaign I created at my previous job.

You are extra bitter and obsessive tonight, but let me take a moment to help you better understand the advertising industry.

At the end of every fiscal year around late fall, a mid-sized ad agency might have an extra $20K in their production budget saved over from clients. Some agencies spend this money on dick-waving bullshit to show how much more creative and fun they are than their competition. That basically leads to cringe-worthy holiday cat videos or some other uncreative bullshit, something I wanted no part in.

I had two objectives when I came up with this campaign: to use the resources to actually make a difference for some people and to do it in a way that would make it a promotional piece for the agency, without all the dick-waving. That second objective was just a front, otherwise my award-winning idea would never have been made. Because fuck advertising agencies.

During the pre-production phase, the support pouring in from clients and connections was astounding. The agency received tons of free outdoor ad space, matching food donations and free press because everyone was getting behind it. On top of the truckloads of food donated from the agency, the food bank reported increased donations, volunteering, and exposure during and after the campaign.

But yeah, the Canadian government is a cesspool of corruption and idiocy and doesn't give a fuck about its people, just like Britain's. That's why it's up to other people to do their job for them.

I'm currently building a startup in the energy sector with my best friends. So far it's a really pleasurable experience. Huge workload; But being able to work with your homies is just great.

Jokes gettin old SoM and you're also wrong. Take my advice and drop it, there is such a thing as beating a dead horse, it's not a great character trait. Especially when you're factually incorrect over and over.
