I heard it's shallow, full of spastics and bias towards imperials. What's the story?

Played it, too much like CoD and it's ilk.
I did not get a StarWars feel from it, more a more of the same with a different skin-feel.

It's just not very starwarsy to spawn on Hoth and get fragged 10 seconds in by a squad of 4 snipers completely ignoring objectives and just going for campkills.

I felt the same way as MKJ the first few games. A few hours in you realize that's not the case.

It's easier for imperials because the rebels have to know how the game works. All the imperials have to worry about is attacking and killing rebel scum. An extra step is required for the rebels to succeed cuz you actually have to shoot the AT-AT between objectives.

AT-STs are like mobile turrets good against most targets, but the rebels have to use the proper turret depending on if it's a vehicle or infantry. The down side to AT ST is you have to control the pickups that spawn on the map to drive one, and they get fucked up real hard by that anti vehicle turret.

Once people get better and understand what to do the games will be closer. We started winning a lot as rebels at the end of the night once we actually understood the meta. We agreed that the 8v8 map is the unbalanced one because the rebels blend into the environment perfectly and stormtroopers are running around like goddamned brightskinned keels.

My k/d is like 5/25 and i still have fun

Also I think it feels pretty star warsy. A stormtrooper simulation would just be getting murdered over and over again and not being able to hit a goddamn thing, which ive got covered, what do you expect?

Had a blast with this. Refreshing to have a game with no bullet spread and no penalty for moving and shooting from hip. Turns out this isn't just a Star Wars themed BF game. I think the cards add the right amount of depth to the game.

The two person squads I can deal with but if they allow 8 person parties they should also help you easily identify those people in game.

I want to like it but it's just too modern FPS* for me, ie playing more means better gear means easier kills. Also the vehicles feel clunky and slow.. the snowspeeder is supposed to be blazingly fast but it really isn't.
A game that got the whole SW universe down I feel was Rogue Leader. Fast battles, chaotic yet structured. And the sound mix .

*That said I feel like Titanfall is actually pfg as it gives the new gear pretty fast and then it's all up to you and your skill to climb the ladder.

That was the Gamecube one innit ?, was pretty win that, almost made me buy a cube.

If this is anything like COD then I'm gonna stay clear, I may give it a look if I can be arsed but FPSs have been pretty stale for me, have been for quite a while. Think they work better as SP only - Alien Isolation, METRO, Bioshock etc, the last time I enjoyed a MP FPS was prolly Left 4 Dead 2. Not played Titanfall, but the COD and Battlefield franchise is just all fur coat and no knickers to me which is a shame because they both came from great beginnings. Bloody hate it.
