Addicting and brilliant game. Amazing job for a solo developer. The SNES RPG style with 16-bit music and pixel perfect artwork is a timeless genre that hopefully won't ever die.
Would recommend

It looks like FarmVille without the microtransactions. And a bit more polish.

The soundtrack is very good too... if you're into 90's square/enix RPGs

I'm embarrassed to say I've played 29 hours so far since this game came out 4 day ago. I keep saying to myself, "
just one more day," and before I know it, it's 4am.
It's like playing Harvest Moon in high school all over again.

Hmm looks way too addictive, think I better just avoid it.

Yes this game is video crack and time really flies by while playing.... thankfully it's not an MMORPG with endless grind. You actually have to give some thought in how you will work the day since there is not enough time to do everything.
Some things I have learned:
- There's lots of tiny worms you can see as you're walking around. Dig these up with a hoe and you'll often get library books and museum items. Go to the library to read them; they contain lots of helpful tips.
- Mining get a lot more difficult starting at level 81 and you can die really easily. If you have cows, cheese makes an excellent health/energy boost.
- Don't neglect adding items to the community center. There's lots of items that are specify to a season.
- The boiler room of the community center has an awesome reward: lets you use carts that go between the farm, mine, and city instantly.
- Talk to your barn animals to raise their friendship level.
- Items are seasonal so don't sell everything you make. Keep a few items on hand in case a towns person wants something from you in an off-season.
- There is an page in the menu that tells you useful info about all the stuff you have collected, such as whether a fish is found in ocean, river or lake.

I didn't know that about the worms and barn animals, thanks! I just got the boiler reward earlier tonight and it's a huge time saver. To my knowledge, there's nothing to plant in the winter, so I'm using the down-time to hit the mines. Level 95 and counting...
