Hey guys, i play in quake 3 1.16n, my ping is bad at about 300 ms. But there are no servers around my area .
Ok my problem is ROCKETS! I am very good at dodging rockets but cant dodge rockets at that ping. They seem to hit me even when i dodge.

I heard of a command /cg_projectilenudge. They say it will help me to dodge projectiles easier. But i dont find how to use it. Afaik, this command is in excessive plus mod i think, not sure. Is there a way to include this command in 1.16n? Please guys it will really help me out if you fellow quakers will tell me this. If there are some mods or some programs for 1.16 who have this command included PLEASE tell me guys.

Also, if its not at all possible to include this command in 1.16n, can u give me some tips on how to dodge rockets at that ping, will practising against bots with timescale 1.3 or something help? or maybe i can increase the speed of rockets by 300 ms and practice against bots? please help me fellow quakers

Why the obsession with 1.16 anyway?

Nvm i found a way, so apparently u can do it with a simple command which u did not seem to know. Anyways, thanks for your (non existent and rude) help though.

Please share your solution for other people who might run into the problem.

A valid question though: why 1.16?

There are some freezetag holdouts on v1.16n, and it was the last version to support play with Dreamcast. Before you ask, yes there are still some niche groups that get together to play Q3 on the Dreamcast, to this day.

there are also a lot of really good MODS that have features that aren't available elsewhere and most of these mods only work with 1.16
