Cop's 2-yr old son shoots himself dead

A US police officer’s son, aged 2, is dead after shooting himself using his father’s gun in Cleavland, Ohio, authorities say.
The toddler apparently got hold of his father’s service weapon and accidentally shot himself on Friday morning, according to police officials.
“The victim is the son of a 54-year-old Cleveland Police Officer who was hired in 1993,” a Police spokesman said on Friday afternoon.
“Weapon confirmed to be his service weapon. This investigation remains in the early stages and no arrests have been made,” the spokesman said.
The boy was rushed to a hospital but was later pronounced dead.

And they preach gun safes to everyone where was this guys? Begs the question of did he just leave it out after work and take a quick nap?

For the past two years there has been at least a shooting a week in the United States perpetrated by a toddler.
The Washington Post has made a project of documenting shootings by young children since October 2015, when it first reported that such shootings were occurring on a weekly basis.
In 2015 there were 58 shootings committed by toddlers, more than one a week. In October 2016 toddlers had already shot 51 people, a higher rate than at the same time the year prior.
