My all time favorite novel, I can't wait. I hope it's as gritty as the books were. I think Matt will be an amazing Randall Flagg but I never pictured the gunslinger as being black... or young...

For some reason I thought this was a TV series rather than a movie. There's... a lot of content in the books.

No you guys are thinking of the stand i suspect. Which also features randall flagg as the villain.

King books kinda take place in the same universe and the dark tower series sorta ties them all together.

Read the first 3 books if I recall correctly, some 23-27 years ago. They were great. Not scary, but epic. Then lost Interest.
Trailer looks alot like a young, male, adult novel. Don't know what to think of it. I lost relation, I guess.

In some shots Matthew McConaughey looks kinda like Christopher Walken

Oh yes! Saw this yesterday. Loved the novel! I am expecting this film to be as good as the novel was.

Mathew and Idris look good!

Trilogy? Wot?
There's seven books in The Dark Tower series, and after the first, they're all standard Stephen King size. It's fecking HUGE.

Not only the 7 books but other books directly talk about the Dark Tower and the events in the books actually have a huge impact on that series. Insomnia comes to mind.

I'm doing something I've never done before with this film. I'm avoiding all trailers and any talk about it until I see the film. I literally know nothing about the story, other than who it was wrote by. I'm pretty excited to see it...
