quake III arena demo

i have the quake III arena demo and my cd is too scratched up to read. anyway i put my cd key in in hopes it would unlock everything so i can play again. i dont know if that is supposed to happen or not plz help

umm, I have no idea. One thing you can try that might work is copying the q3 folder over to your hard drive. That may not do a damn thing other that screw up again, but if you haven't tried it might help?

Well, put the cd in. Then right click on your CD Drive and go to Explore. Then right click on your Quake III Arena folder and click copy. Then go into C:\Program Files and Paste the copied folder there.
See if that works.

ahh, Was only a guess though. As far as the demo goes I have never touched it so I wouldn't know how the cdkey part of it works...
If you do have a your cd key, hit me up on messenger and we'll sort this out.

The demo doesn't contain a full version you can unlock. Look at the sizes: the demo is ~60MB, the retail version is ~420MB.
