Launch aborted due to weather. Postponed until Saturday.

I was sitting in anticipation to watch the thing launch. Shame no one is going to space today. They had announced there was only a 60% chance weather would hold up. They couldn't wait though. They had a launch window of like 2 minutes today.

The reason also wasn't weather as in "it rained" or "it was a bit windy", there was too much static electricity in the air due to a lightning storm front passing by.

I feel bad for those astronauts. Have been sitting there for hours in what looks like a not very comfortable position, holding up their pee, all for nothing.

Saturday 3:22pm EDT is the next launch opportunity.

They've specifically asked not to come watch because of crowds and corona and such, though

We're not going all the way up to the NASA. That place is going to be nuts. I saw photos of the bridges from the canceled launch and it was crazy packed. People in our Merit Island office said it took them hours to get off the island that day. No thanks. We're going to go up to Melbourne to a place on the water, roughly 40 miles away as the crow flies. I'm happy to watch from there. But they are saying there's still a 50/50 chance it will get canceled today.
