International Space Station 21st anniversary

On May 29 1999 - Space shuttle Discovery completed the first docking with the International Space Station just one of 34 missions flown during construction of the ISS.
November 2, 2000 saw the first crew reside onboard the station staying several months and they were Astronaut Bill Shepherd, Cosmonauts Yuri Gidzenko and Sergei Krikalev.

Now it looks like they may be opening the place up for tourism. Not sure how I feel about that, but if it pays the bills to keep the thing up there, I'm game.

Well, as they say at SpaceX: Fail fast.
The explosion is unfortunate, but not critical.
The next (SN5) prototype is almost ready.

The coolest thing is is probably the first stage rocket of Falcon 9 successfully landing on the drone ship out in the ocean...

Yeah, and seeing those boosters land back on Earth is still a surreal sight. It's like watching something out of a sci-fi movie. We're living in the future, man!
