I hope they re-release this and Tenet in theaters when there's no deadly virus going around.

I had no idea there was even a 4th matrix being worked on.
Will it be a proper sequel to the first Matrix so we can finally erase 2&3 from history?

I think it's a prequel with a mostly different cast, but I've deliberately avoided news about it so I can go in fresh.

Keanu Reeves and Carrie Anne Moss are reprising their roles. Keanu said that it’s not a prequel.

I think so far the only role that's not reprised by the original cast member is Agent Smith.

Oh that's cool, now I'm getting excited. I haven't seen a feature length movie in a while, so HBO Max may be a pretty good idea.

As an addendum to my last post, which might have been a bit ambiguous, what I meant to say is that for all roles to so far be known as being present in The Matrix 4, only Agent Smith is not played by Hugo Weaving because he was unable to align his schedule with the Matrix 4 shoots.
However, it looks like that's not entirely correct either because as I just read, it seems Agent Smith won't be in The Matrix 4 at all.
According to IMDB, the only confirmed characters so far are:
- Neo (Keanu Reeves)
- Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss)
- Kiobe (Jada Pinkett Smith)
- Agent Johnson (Daniel Bernhardt)
- The Merovingian (Lambert Wilson) unfortunately without Monica Bellucci this time it seems
I also see Neil Patrick Harris is part of the cast listing but for an unspecified role.
"Haaaave you met Neo?"

Damnit, the Dune release date is pushed back from 18th dec 2020 to 1 october 2021.

Yeah, and they pushed it back cause they thought people would be back in theaters by December 2021. But then WB went ahead and made this deal, so it didn’t matter. They’re probably pissed...

I'm not at all sold on that Dune movie. The trailer left me emotionless. There was nothing in there that wasn't already in the Lynch-movie imo. I didn't read the books though, so stone me.
