Quake3World

So I've been playing Q3 a little recently and this is starting to piss me off...Just about everytime I launch Q3, it goes really dark...as if it stays the desktop's brightness level...I do a vid_restart and it's fine, goes back to how I want it. But it's really annoying and I don't know why it does it. Any ideas?

could be your gamma settings in teh baseq3 config, set r_gamma to 1.4
