I've not been playing long and am using dialup (which has been fine for day to day usage so far). Now I'm playing Q3 I notice everyone has a better ping than me (mines usually between 200 and 400). So I'm upgrading to broadband, the question is, is it worth bothering with 512 or should I get 1meg or better. Does it really make that big a differance? Bearing in mind that I've not been playing very long.

It doesn't matter, 512Kb will be more than sufficient.
