ping PROBLEMS HELP (IM NEW)

WHY MY PING VARIES FROM 100-200 IF I HAVE OPTIMUM ONLINE PROLLY FASTEST DSL?....
USUALLY PPL HAVE PING 10-90 IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO LOWER MY PING? TNX FOR HELP

I hear when you don't shout in the chat box the ping steadily decreases over time.

Optimum Online is cable not DSL. In addition to changing your settings to those specified by Duhard, try using The
All-Seeing Eye game server browser to find servers that you will ping well to (if you don't already do so).

Nah, ASE is great. It's ALOT easier to find servers with low latencies, and there's usually more choices of servers with it.
