afaik pwn didnt come from owned...

afaik pwn comes from pawned which comes from pawn as in the pawn in the chess game in which they are the weakest things in game.

I believe it came from the constant typo-ing of "owned", since "o" and "0" are right nect to "p". (Could be wrong, though...)

i thought it originally came from Jeff K's articles or something like that, tbh. but i knew it came from an 'owned' typo somewhere.

yes. and pwn does indeed come from 'own', with a typo. not that hard to figure out, either
'pawn' makes no sense, dont overthink these things.. they get made up by 14 year old scriptkiddies
